You were never meant to be ruled by men.
You were never meant to go through gatekeepers to access God.
Your Creator designed you to walk in direct communion.
But somewhere along the way, we gave up that right.
And today, we’re taking it back.
The Original Intention: A Nation of Priests
Before there were prophets, priests, and pastors—
There was only one desire in the heart of God:
Exodus 19:5–6 – “Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant… you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.”
Not a priesthood among people,
but a kingdom of priests—each one directly connected to the divine.
There was no middleman.
No curtain.
No class system.
Just a God walking with His creation.
That was the blueprint.
But Then We Asked For A King
Enter one of the most tragic exchanges in biblical history:
1 Samuel 8:5 – “Now appoint for us a king to judge us like all the nations.”
Samuel was crushed.
And God? Even more so.
1 Samuel 8:7 – “It is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.”
God had been their ruler. Their provider. Their defender.
But they wanted what other nations had.
They wanted structure.
They wanted form.
They wanted a man to stand in the gap.
So God warned them.
If you choose this path, it will cost you.
“He will take your sons and daughters… the best of your fields… your grain and your flocks… and you yourselves will become his slaves.” — 1 Samuel 8:11–17
Intermediaries Cost Us Our Sovereignty
From that moment forward, the people of God lived under systems that separated them from the source.
-
Kings rose and fell.
-
Priests controlled access.
-
Prophets spoke on behalf of the people.
And while God still moved, His people were no longer walking with Him—they were walking through others.
That pattern didn’t stop with Israel.
It continued through the church age:
-
Clergy over laity.
-
Latin over native tongue.
-
Pulpits as thrones.
Control crept in.
Fear was weaponized.
Power became concentrated.
And millions were taught they needed a mediator to reach God.
But then came Jesus.
Jesus: The Veil-Tearer, Not The New Intermediary
Most of the church treats Jesus like the new middleman.
But Jesus did not come to replace the priesthood.
He came to restore the original design.
Matthew 27:51 – “The veil of the temple was torn in two.”
What was behind the veil?
The presence of God.
And in one moment, the barrier was removed—for good.
Jesus didn’t say:
“Come to me, and I’ll keep talking to God for you.”
He said:
“I go to the Father. You will do greater things.”
“Ask in my name.”
“The Kingdom is within you.”
He came to reintroduce direct access.
To hand back what had been surrendered since Samuel’s day.
To remind us: You were never meant to be ruled. You were meant to reign.
It’s Time To Reclaim Your Place
The reason so many feel powerless is because they’ve been trained to be spectators in their own faith.
We sit.
We watch.
We say, “Pastor, pray for me.”
Instead of declaring: “God hears me.”
But today, that ends.
Ask yourself:
-
Where have I accepted hierarchy that God never approved?
-
Who or what have I allowed to speak for me before God?
-
Am I willing to walk in the full weight of my spiritual authority?
Final Declaration
“God, I no longer need a king to rule me.
I no longer need a priest to reach you.
You are within me.
You walk with me.
You speak to me.
And I receive my inheritance: a royal priesthood, a holy nation.
I reclaim my throne.
I walk in divine alignment—direct, sovereign, free.”
You are no longer a citizen under rule.
You are a priest in the kingdom.
You are a king in alignment.
You are a builder with access.
Now act like it.
